About Our Worship Gatherings
From the embryonic stages of our existence as a church, we have shared a common understanding that what we are doing is an experiment in fresh expressions of Christianity. Since we launched just over a year ago, we’ve accomplished a lot as a church and we’ve learned together about what the church is going to have to become in order to have a voice in a world that no longer looks to the church, the Bible or clergy for answers.
For the next few months (beginning September 2008), we will be “under construction.” No, not our website—our church community. At the time, we are not holding public worship gatherings. We are taking a few months to assess all that we’ve learned together and prayerfully consider how to reshape our community practices based on our learning and God’s leading. In January, we intend to re-launch The Well as a community of faith that more accurately reflects who we believe God is leading us to be in order to live as family, serve our world and become more like Jesus.
